Assignment for my Beginners Tutorial for February 11, 2002
was "Metallic Shimmering Frame."
We were allowed to use our own Image too, so I chose this:

Normally, I don't attempt the Advanced Tutorials; but I look at them.
This time I attempted the Advanced Tutorial for February 11, 2002 called
"Sinedot Trapped Soul." I was anxious to flex the old grahical tools muscles and learn something "out-of-the-box" (new.)
I thought I might get snagged with the utilization of
new filters called Sinedot (Dragon Fly), but the Tutorial was written so great
I sure can't blame who wrote it; mine didn't come out fantastic but that's due to
my overall graphical and PSP7 inexperience. So here's my little attempt, it's not
centered correctly but I sure liked the concept of a "trapped soul" and I thought I'd
give it a whirl using new filters:

Beginners Assignment for February 17, 2002 was an Animated Pinwheel. It didn't come out right, the blade is kind of jumpy; it's actually my second attempt; my first attempt I got confused with Merge Visible Layers. And I still didn't do something right. But anyway, that's why I'm here, to learn.
 Completed 2/17/02 - hey, I still have some hair left that I didn't pull out.
Here, I attempted the Advanced Tutorial on Fancy Gradient Frame for February 17, 2002. Again, I'm learning and it was fun and I'm really into Frames right now anyway so it was good practice on a lot of cool filters and art texture effects. I chose my own Image.
Let's put it this way . . . I think it came out better than my poor Pinwheel.
Well, after a little over a month from LOA from the Group, I'm back and though it will be hard to catch up, I'm going to try. It's April 20th, and I'm now in Canon City, Colorado and this is the Beginner's Assignment after the Pinwheel attempt, called Easy Vase. I used my own graphic from Artist Jim Warren, called "Above the Clouds." I will take my time in trying to catch up and will also attempt some more Advanced Assignments.
This is one of the more current assignments, called "Simple Neon Glow." I used my own tiger image for this one.
