JOURNEY
Great ebb and
endless flow of wonder
fallen leaves of browns and
golds
crackle in the filtered,
shadowed mist
I meditate the hour
fill the void of rapture raped
and sorrow vulnerable like wounds
left gaping
gentle
touch of waves
across the sand
sensual union of water and earth
meeting the serenity of
dusk's falling
and departing horizon
I hear
the crashing of all that
breaks against the stone
I feel the splash of ages
defy me in its tidal wave
of cruel weeping
the seaweed becomes entangled in the jolted
thoughts of
questioning dismay
The ocean carries my
Soul to its depths
so far out, that where I am
matters less
than who I become in Life's solemn Journey
Heaven bound . . .
